Our client is a growing dry cleaning chain based in Riga, committed to providing exceptional service and superior garment care. With multiple successful locations, they are now seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team and lead their expansion efforts.
The Role
As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is fully on-site. The office is located in Teika district, in Riga.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive expansion strategy that includes opening new dry cleaning locations in key areas of Riga and potentially beyond. Collaborate with the executive team to set clear objectives, goals, and timelines.
Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize day-to-day operations of existing locations, ensuring a smooth workflow, effective resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards.
Financial Management: Manage the budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability. Prepare and present regular financial reports to the management team.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to managers and staff. Encourage a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence.
Customer Experience: Champion a customer-centric approach across all touchpoints. Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and customer preferences. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and sourcing high-quality products and services.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to the dry cleaning business.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven hands-on experience in a leadership role within the dry cleaning industry or a related field, with a track record of driving business growth.
Business Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen, with a keen understanding of profit and loss, budgeting, and cost management.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a positive work environment and cultivating a culture of excellence.
Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, with a clear focus on expansion and growth.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to changing market conditions and business needs.
Languages: Fluent in English and Latvian; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
