Chief Risk Officer

Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Chief Risk Officer to develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework. This is a completely new role for the company, so all processes need to be developed from scratch. This leadership role is crucial for driving our risk management strategy and ensuring the long-term success of the company.

Reporting to: Board Member

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an enterprise risk framework.
  • Regularly assess and improve the risk management system.
  • Promote risk management knowledge across the organization.
  • Establish common risk management terminology.
  • Select and implement tools for risk identification, scoring, and monitoring.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring risk reporting processes.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with the Chief Executive and Board on risk evaluations.
  • Involve risk management in major decisions and challenge risky decisions when necessary.
  • Prepare and present risk reports to the Client Board and other stakeholders.
  • Advise the Board on strategies and policies to maintain adequate capital.


  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications such as FRM, CRM, or CFA are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
