Head of HR

Our client is one of the largest Latvian retail chains with more than 90 stores across the country. The company has been running successfully since 1999 and serves more than 125’000 happy customers every day.  We are currently looking for a Head of HR to join their team in Riga.

Your role
The responsibilities include making strategic decisions and overseeing the hiring processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Implement a powerful recruitment strategy – effective sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques
    Design compensation and benefits packages
  • Implement performance review procedures (e.g. quarterly/annual and 360° evaluations)
  • Develop fair HR policies and ensure employees understand and comply with them
  • Act as the point of contact regarding labor legislation issues
  • Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees
  • Monitor the HR department’s budget
  • Review current HR technology and recommend more effective software (including HRIS and ATS)
  • Measure employee retention and turnover rates
  • Oversee daily operations of the HR department

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an HR Executive, HR Manager, or similar role
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting
  • Demonstrable leadership abilities
  • Solid communication skills
