Our client is a fast-growing investment platform offering access to alternative assets across Europe. As part of their growth journey, they are looking for an Accountant to support and strengthen the finance team, working closely with the Head Accountant to ensure smooth and compliant day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing and booking primary accounting documents in Horizon and 1C
- Entering and reviewing vendor invoices and delivery notes, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation
- Preparing and booking customer invoices in the accounting system
- Handling travel and advance expense reports
- Maintaining fixed asset records
- Processing bank statements and performing reconciliations
- Assisting with payroll calculations and payment execution
- Recording and monitoring investment portfolio data
- Supporting tax reporting and annual report preparation (in collaboration with the Head Accountant)
- Taking part in other accounting tasks as needed
Your profile:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Practical experience in accounting (at least 2–3 years preferred), ideally in finance or a regulated environment
- Full-cycle accounting knowledge is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and Latvian tax legislation
- Experience with Horizon and 1C (preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence with MS Office tools
- Analytical mindset, high accuracy, and sense of responsibility
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently
- Fluent in Latvian, good command of English
