Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Our client is a fast-growing fintech company developing cutting-edge payment solutions for global markets. Their mission is to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure technologies that enable seamless financial transactions for businesses and customers worldwide.

The company is now seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to drive its technology vision, strengthen its platform architecture, and ensure the scalability and security of its international payment systems.

What You’ll Do

Technology & Architecture

• Define and execute the company’s overall technology strategy and roadmap.
• Design and scale a high-performance, secure architecture for payment processing operations.
• Select and implement the best technologies, tools, and systems supporting development, infrastructure, and monitoring.
• Oversee cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Manage integration with PSPs, third-party payment providers, and financial partners.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with PCI DSS and relevant industry regulations.
• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity, data protection, and fraud prevention frameworks.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies, auditors, and compliance teams.
• Oversee certification, licensing, and audit processes.

Leadership & Team Management

• Build, develop, and lead high-performing technical teams (engineering, DevOps, QA, infrastructure).
• Manage both in-house and distributed resources, including external vendors.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Develop strong partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.

Operational Excellence

• Establish monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems for business continuity.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and scalability of the company’s payment infrastructure.
• Oversee merchant and partner integrations into the platform.
• Support reporting systems for management and compliance purposes.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent) within fintech, payments, banking, trading, or iGaming.
• Proven experience managing teams of 20+ engineers.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, PSP integrations, and transactional flows.
• Deep expertise in PCI DSS, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and microservice architecture.
• Strong budgeting, planning, and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• English – Advanced (C1+) level required.
