Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AML Specialist to join our client’s team. This role will focus on developing and refining anti-money laundering (AML) procedures to ensure compliance with FCA regulations and support the company’s growth in the fintech space. You will work closely with compliance, risk, and legal teams to ensure AML frameworks are robust, up-to-date, and effective in mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AML policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to AML controls.
- Draft clear, concise procedures for the identification, monitoring, and reporting of suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless compliance integration into day-to-day operations.
- Stay informed of changes in regulatory requirements and update procedures accordingly.
- Provide AML training and guidance to employees, ensuring company-wide compliance awareness.
- Assist in preparing for audits and regulatory reviews.
Requirements
- Proven experience in AML compliance, preferably within the fintech or payments industry.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and UK/EU AML laws.
- Experience in developing and writing detailed AML procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify compliance risks and propose effective solutions.
- Certifications such as CAMS or ICA are a plus.
