AML & Onboarding Specialist (with Underwriting Focus)
We’re working with a fast-growing FinTech company that’s building a specialized financial platform for high-growth industries. With a strong track record in client funds, turnover, and revenue, they’re now scaling across new markets and verticals. To support this growth, they’re looking for a specialist to join the Acquiring Product team — someone who combines onboarding expertise, compliance mindset, and merchant underwriting capabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, review, and verify customer information and documentation
- Conduct AML risk assessments and underwriting evaluations on new clients and partners
- Review merchants’ business models and websites to assess onboarding eligibility and risk level
- Monitor and periodically re-evaluate existing merchants for continued compliance
- Collaborate with the compliance team to enhance AML and underwriting processes and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on AML and risk-related matters
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in merchant acquiring, underwriting, or client onboarding
- Experience with chargebacks, disputes, and transaction monitoring
- Solid knowledge of card schemes (e.g. Visa, Mastercard), APMs, and acquiring networks
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, PSD2, AML/KYC regulations and risk management practices
- Fluent English (additional languages a plus)
- Strong skills in Excel, Google Sheets, and AML tools; bonus if you’ve used Tableau, Zoho, Asana, or Notion
- Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment
