Our client is a fast-growing investment platform offering access to alternative assets across Europe. To support its ongoing expansion, we’re looking for a Compliance Officer with a strong legal background, deep MiFID expertise, and a reputation for integrity and leadership in the financial sector.
This is a key leadership role where you will shape the compliance function, support or oversee legal matters, and play a vital part in client onboarding
and regulatory engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the compliance function in line with MiFID II and other applicable EU and local regulations
- Oversee the client onboarding process, ensuring full AML/KYC compliance
- Act as the main contact for the regulator and handle all required reporting and audits
- Support or manage legal responsibilities, including reviewing contracts, policies, and regulatory documents
- Promote a culture of compliance across the organization and advise senior leadership
- Define and track compliance KPIs to align with business and regulatory goals
Your profile:
- Law degree (required)
- Proven track record in compliance leadership, preferably in investment platforms or regulated financial services
- Expert-level understanding of MiFID and financial regulations
- Experience with client onboarding, AML, and KYC procedures
- Impeccable professional reputation, high ethical standards, and sound judgment
- Fluent in Latvian and excellent English (written and spoken)
- KPI- and process-oriented, comfortable working cross-functionally with legal, operations, and executive teams
