Junior AML/Onboarding Specialist
We’re hiring for a fast-growing fintech company providing modern payment and acquiring solutions across international markets.
The AML team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Junior AML Specialist who will focus specifically on secondary AML checks – the deeper verification stage conducted after initial KYC is completed.
This role is ideal for someone early in their compliance career who wants to build strong expertise in AML/CFT and grow within a structured, supportive team.
What You’ll Do
- Perform secondary AML checks on new merchants following the initial KYC process.
- Review merchant documentation, websites, and business models to ensure compliance with AML standards and Visa/Mastercard requirements.
- Support risk assessments, identify inconsistencies, and flag potential red flags.
- Use internal tools and OSINT sources to run background checks and validate merchant information.
- Escalate higher-risk profiles or suspicious cases to senior AML/Compliance specialists.
- Collaborate closely with Account Management, Risk, and Legal teams to ensure smooth, compliant onboarding.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments, especially in fintech, e-commerce, and payments.
What You Bring
- Degree in Economics, Business, Law, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in AML/KYC, Compliance, or Risk.
- Strong understanding of KYC/AML principles and risk-based approaches.
- High attention to detail, strong research skills, and analytical thinking.
- Fluency in English and Russian (written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with internal teams.
- Motivation to grow within AML and develop deeper expertise in compliance frameworks.
