The company is establishing its new regional hub and about to start the substantial legal and regulatory project of building a major production facility in Latvia. They have opened modern operational headquarters in Riga Center, and are now assembling a core team.
They are seeking a Middle/Senior Legal Counsel to join the company at this crucial stage. This is a unique opportunity to own and navigate the complex legal challenges associated with launching a high-security, world-class manufacturer at the ground floor of its Baltic expansion. Your expertise will be essential in shaping their local regulatory framework.

- Identify, secure, and manage all necessary licenses, permits, and governmental approvals specific to high-specification, controlled materials production.
- Develop and implement the foundational legal and regulatory compliance frameworks to meet Latvian, EU, and industry-specific high-security standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate initial high-value contracts related to the production site construction, local vendor agreements, and specialized supplier relationships.
- Act as the primary point of contact with local regulatory bodies, government authorities, and legal advisors in Latvia.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice to management on corporate governance, employment law, and intellectual property matters during the initial operational phase.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional legal experience, preferably within corporate law, regulatory compliance, or the manufacturing/industrial sector.
- Proven ability to independently build and manage legal structures, including the establishment of new legal entities in Latvia.
- Demonstrated experience securing complex licenses, permits, or governmental approvals related to regulated production or high-security materials.
- Deep working knowledge of Latvian corporate, labor, and regulatory law, specifically relating to industrial operations.
- Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value construction and supplier contracts.
- Professional fluency in Latvian (mandatory for regulatory and local work) and high proficiency in English (essential for international management).
Why Join?
- Receive a highly competitive salary package that reflects your senior experience and the strategic importance of this role.
- This is a ground-floor opportunity where you will be the legal architect, personally building the entire compliance and corporate structure for the new Latvian hub.
- Add the launch of a world-class, highly regulated international production facility to your professional portfolio.
- Benefit from a flexible, part-time initial arrangement as you lay the legal foundation, ensuring work-life balance during the setup.
